An item worth mentioning is that this set native display is in 16:9 wide screen whereas most over the air programming is still broadcast in 4:3. This will result in any 4:3 broadcast appearing somewhat smaller on this already smaller 15.6″ screen. However, if you are looking to purchase a TV smaller than 19 inches, this should be the one.

This 15.6-inch LCD is equipped with a built-in ATSC / QAM / NTSC Tuners for DTV and analog TV viewing. The Toshiba 15LV505 provides users with the standard connection components, with the exception of an HDMI port. Our reviewers were very impressed with the television’s display qualities whether watching programming or a DVD via the onboard player. A clear picture with a better price: Sharp’s LC19SB27UT 19-inch LCD HDTV. Our reviewers were anxious to get their hands on this small LCD and review its functionality and durability. With a solid 19 inch viewable screen, it is a great set for a second bedroom, the kitchen, or dorm rooms. Picture quality in native 720p is excellent (and as good as one is going to get in a smaller screen) as well as in standard definition programing. With a 170 degree viewing angle and a 20 degree swivel base, this television can be comfortably viewed from any angle in the room. It also sits on a very small stand, making it a good LCD for areas where a lot of space is not available.

Sharp LC19SB27UT

This 19-inch LCD is equipped with a built-in ATSC / QAM / NTSC Tuners for DTV and analog TV viewing. The Sharp LC19SB27UT also provides users with a solitary HDMI port, HD component, and composite video slot so an array of HD equipment can be hooked up to the LCD set. Our reviewers were very impressed with the television’s display qualities regardless of the programming (i.e. sports, action sequences, or gaming) or lighting conditions. Our latest LCD Review: Samsung LN22B360 LCD HDTV This 22 inch LCD television is an excellent television for the bedroom or den and produces sharp and clear pictures in solid 720p HD resolution. We were most impressed with the sharpness and vivid color produced by this smaller set thanks to the system’s 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and Samsung’s mid-level Wide Color Enhancer 2 technology that helps produce more natural rendering of colors. This set incorporates a number of innovative features to reduce the motion blur and image judder, which traditionally plague LCD HDTVs when displaying fast movement. We only saw on a couple of occasions where the set blurred some fast-action sequences, and for its size and intended use as a secondary television, it should not be an issue. The set has a great 8ms (millisecond) response time that helps produce crystal clear images and to reduce blurring.

Samsung LN22B360

The Samsung LN22B360 produces rich sounds thanks to its SRS TruSurround HD technology.
