Pioneer is a well known electronics manufacturer based in Kanagawa, Japan since its founding in 1938. The founder, Nozomu Matsumoto started the company as a radio and speaker repair shop. They’ve come a long way since those days and are now one of the largest manufacturers of television sets in the world.
Pioneer specializes in Plasma TV’s and CRT Lens TV’s. In February 2009 the corporation announced their plans to cease manufacturing television sets by March 2010.
