Today’s review: The LG 42LH20 – This 42″ inch LCD HD television is the largest LH20 series display produced by LG. Our review team has really liked the LH20 series because although it is LG’s entry-point LCD and it don’t have all the latest features these televisions are incredibly low priced and provided a great viewing experience. This television produces solid 720p resolution images, which is great for most DVD, XBox, and High-Def satellite or cable programming. Contrast and brightness controls on this flat panel are excellent and provides the viewer ample ability to properly adjust settings for viewing programming. For those owners who are uncomfortable manually setting the display on this LCD television, LG provides a great on-board “Picture Wizard” that quickly walks owners through the setup process for visual and audio controls.

LG 42LH20
TheLG 42LH20 incorporates a SimpLink technology so owners can use the television’s remote control to manage any HD device connected via one of the system’s two (2) HDMI ports. No need for multiple remote controls with this television! The Audio features provided on the 42LH20 have been enhanced with Clear Voice II that manipulates the voice controls within programming to increase the clarity and sound of dialogue above the background noise. Sound is delivered effectively through a sleek and effective invisible speaker system.
Those interesting in purchasing the LG 42LH20 will be pleased to learn that the cost savings associated with this television do not end with its purchase. LG has built this 42 inch television to exceed Energy Start 3.0 standards, which provides owners additional savings when the television is in use or in stand by mode. Any television produced by LG in the last year has been engineered to Energy Star’s impressive energy saving standards.
The LG 42LH20 does not provide viewers with a large number of the latest features found on high-end HDTVs. However, it is well constructed by LG and is offered at an outstanding price (Currently retailing for less than $950). This LG LCD television is an excellent choice for consumers looking for a good sized screen and is not about the latest “bells and whistles.” We think this is a great buy!
