Up for Review: LG 42LH30 – This full high definition 1080p 42″ LCD is one of LG‘s most popular models this year. Cleverreviews.com has previously reviewed a few LH30 model televisions. The majority of the features on this 42 inch television are consistent with the 32LH30 and the 37LH30 and we invite readers to look at those reviews for additional details about the LH30 series. We particularly like the LG 42LH30 because of its full definition display capabilities (1080p) and its abilities to properly display standard definition programming and everything in between very well. The image quality can be partly attributed to LG’s 24p Real Cinema technology. This recently released advancement precisely display 24 source frames per second on the screen without any image jerking, similar to what moviegoers experience in a theater.

Cleverreviews.com likes the LG 42LH30 for its excellent audio quality and especially enjoyed the integration of its sophisticated auto volume leveling system. The new television set up wizard provides an easy walk through of how to optimize visual and sound qualities and allowed our reviewers to enjoy quality television in less than ten minutes. Our reviewers also took notice that although the black levels in the visual quality were strong, they were not a rich as they should be a LCD of this quality.

One of this unit’ strongest component’s is its energy savings capability. Out of the large number of televisions we tested in 2009, the LG 42LH30 is one of the cheapest 42 inch conventional LCD television sets to operate. LG exceeded Energy Star’s strict 3.0 energy usage standards which keeps this television from utilizing too much electricity whether its being watched or in standby mode.

The Vizio LG 42LH30 comes equipped with a total of 5 HD ready input ports (including 3 HDMI) for HD audio and visual components. Like all other LH30 models we’ve tested it is missing an S-Video input. LG has included an Integrated Digital/QAM television tuner, so viewers can enjoy high definition and regular television programs with or without paid high definition service. For being a step-up level, full 1080p definition television we were very impressed with the 42LH30!
