Our latest review: Samsung LN46B630 LCD HDTV Consumers purchasing this 46 inch LCD HDTV are getting a high-quality LCD TV that offers excellent picture quality with 1080p high definition resolution. Our reviewers were impressed with this LCD’s extremely sharp detail and vivid color production thanks in part to an 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio that provides noticeably more realistic images. Samsung’s top of the line Wide Color Enhancer 3 technology also helps create more natural rendering of colors. This flat panel also incorporates a number of innovative features to reduce the motion blur and image judder, which traditionally plague LCD HDTVs when displaying fast movement. This B630 series HDTV combines a super-fast 4ms (millisecond) response time with Samsung’s Auto Motion Plus frame interpolation technology, which utilizes a 120Hz refresh rate helps ensure crisp, easy viewing of sports, video games and movies. Video quality is not an issue with this LCD!

In addition to the Samsung LN46B630’s excellent picture quality this system is equipped with a number of additional features that today’s viewers will certainly appreciate. Samsung’s Anynet+ technology allows the TV’s remote control to operate at the push of one button peripheral AV devices such as a DVD player, Cable/satellite box, or a separate surround sound system. The B630 also features a game mode function that enhances dark areas, sharpens the picture, speeds up the image processing response and enhances the sounds quality when the system is utilized for HD gaming systems. This flat panel is also equipped with PIP (Picture in Picture) technology as well. In addition to these features, Samsung’s initial set up was simple and straightforward and provided our reviewers well optimized picture and sound settings.
Owners of the Samsung LN46B630 are provided with excellent connectivity and networking with two USB port–for playing MP3 audio and displaying JPEG/MPEG files–and four HDMI 1.3 ports, and it also provides ample sound thanks to dual 10-watt, two-way stereo speakers and an integrated subwoofer. This HDTV is accented by Samsung’s TOC (Touch of Color) bezel design, which offers a hint of red translucent color around the edges of the unit that completes the panel’s cutting edge design. And as with all B630 series LCD televisions, this LCD is Energy Star 3.0 compliant, which has increased the energy efficiency of this model over last year’s model by a solid 25 percent! This is a great flat panel for those who are concerned about the environment.
The initial feedback from consumers on this LCD have been great. If you are looking for a high quality 46 inch display with a wide array of features, but don’t want to pay too much, the Samsung LN46B630 is an excellent choice. Retailing at $1,700, we’ve found it at Amazon for about $1,450. This is an excellent HD LCD with the features that today’s consumers demand.

The picture is so life like I cant believe it. Although for some older movies like “GoodFella’s” I don’t want it so crisp, it’s so real it’s almost fake. Can I turn off the 120hz to 60hz for movies like this or no?

I purchased the LN46B630 about 4 month’s ago and let me tell you, this T.V. for the price is the best money can buy! I don’t know a lot about T.V.’s but I’ve done the research and read the reviews from average consumers to smart techs, and the answers remains the same. Samsung is probably the best T.V. brand you can buy! Hands down! I was lucky when I bought mine. Is was at sears and originally I bought the LN46B550, which was also nice but it only had the 60hz refresh rate which left the quality of the set lacking something. So I returned that and upgraded to the B630 series which I Do Not regret. The T.V. with the 3 year in home extended warranty was only $1,264.44 shipping included thru Amazon! If that’s not a deal, I don’t know what is. So for any of you who want a Phenomenal T.V. but don’t want to empty your savings account in the process, the B630 series is it. Weather it’s the LN40, LN42, LN46 or LN52, any choice you make would be a good one. Hopefully this comment helped somebody with there decision.
