Up for Review:Viore 19-inch LCD TV. Viore is a new player in the entry-level HDTV market in North America, and are selling a large number of HD set with two good reason: Affordability and features. Viore’s 19 inch LCD with 720p resolution is a solid entry level HDTV that is priced right and is loaded with features not found on similarly priced sets. Our reviewers initially tested video quality and were satisfied with the screen’s ability to handle both standard definition 480p as well as 720p HD programming. With a lower contrast ratio of 1,000:1 coupled with a relatively bright luminescence of 300 cd/m2, viewers looking for the ultimate in display quality should think about looking elsewhere. However, the overall video quality was decent and should suffice for most applications, especially in the 19-inch range.

Our reviewers liked the Viore LC19VH54PB for its easy initial set and quick start guide. The remote control is easy to navigate and use as well. Initial set up is straightforward and simple. Sound quality was also decent and the two on board speakers provide will generous amounts of sound for regular viewing situations. This 19 inch LCD was easy to see from just about any angle in the room thanks to a wide 170 degree horizontal viewing radius.

Viore provides owners of the LC19VH54PB with a single HDMI port, one S-video input, a component and composite video input so the LCD can be connected to any HD device. The television also provides a VGA slot for the LCD’s use as a computer monitor. We were impressed with its overall ability to function as a computer display.

The Viore LC19VH54PB is a decent set for consumers looking for an LCD that can be used in a small area, such as a second bedroom, the kitchen, or a den. With its simple and straightforward on screen user guide and its solid picture and sound quality, this Viore HDTV is worth the investment.
