Up for Review: Vizio VX20L – 20-inch LCD HDTV. If you are looking for a smaller television for tight spaces (a dorm room, den, or guest bedroom) then Vizio’s VX20L is an excellent choice. This 20 inch LCD has been on the market since late 2007 and has been Vizio’s most popular 20 inch model. Its piano black frame and elegant design was very impressive to the Cleverreviews.com team. Although it only supports TV formats to 1080i (slightly less than the best commercially available resolution of 1080p) we were impressed with its crisp images and excellent sound quality. Priced at less than $300.00 we believe consumers will be getting a solid high definition television.

Cleverreviews.com was pleased that the VX20L supports multi-channel preview (PIP), although we discovered it requires a DVR or VCR to provide a second tuner. This TV can display images that are sharper and more realistic than regular television when connected to a high definition signal. The 3:2 pulldown feature of this unit also reduces artifacts that can occur when motion pictures are transferred to a digital format such as DVD. We were also impressed with the picture quality regardless of lighting conditions (from dark setting to brightly lit rooms).
The Vizio VX20L was designed for maximum versatility with a wide variety of input interfaces; HDMI ports for your high definition components like Blu-Ray players to latest generation video game components. The set also comes with a RGB input for its use as a computer monitor or for gaming. If we had a complaint about this set, it would be the lack of easily accessible input ports on the front of the system.
For the price and the feature set, we were very excited about our experience with the Vizio VX20L. We a proven track record of excellence, we strong recommend this set for anyone looking for a smaller HD television set.
